Chico Hot Springs Conference / Montana

Paradise Valley, just north of Yellowstone National Park, is nestled in the Absaroka Mountain Range and is home to the Chico Hot Springs Resort. This AWLS course is being offered by Aerie Backcountry Medicine of Missoula and is a great opportunity to gain a foundation of knowledge in wilderness medicine while enjoying a variety of outdoor activities and breathtaking beauty. Join us in this spectacular setting for an AWLS conference "to learn the skills to prevent problems, reduce suffering and save lives in non-traditional medical settings." Based in Missoula, Montana, Aerie trains over 1,500 students a year throughout the United States, Mexico and Central America. Aerie is the primary provider of wilderness medicine training for the Student Conservation Association; train extensively with the US Forest Service Smokejumpers, state and federal land agencies, youth-at-risk programs and private indifiduals. They regularly present at regional, national and international conferences and have been certified in AWLS and as AWLS instructors.
