Joe Wheeler State Park, Alabama - June 20 - 22, 2008 The forests, lakes and rivers of Northwest Alabama are the setting for this AWLS® course being held at Joe Wheeler State Park Lodge with immediate access to outdoor teaching in a wilderness setting. This is a weekend course available for 17.5 hours of CME credits and Wilderness Medical Society FAWM credits. Cyr, Montana - June 27 - 29, 2008 Cyr and Alberton Gorge near Missoula is the location for this course with an emphasis on swift water education. This is a weekend course available for 17.5 hours of CME credits and Wilderness Medical Society FAWM credtis. Mt. Snow, Vermont - July 13 - 15, 2008 Set in the Deerfield Valley in Southern Vermont this AWLS® course is being held at the Mount Snow resort. This course is available for 17.5 hours of CME credits and Wilderness Medical Society FAWM credits. Linville Gorge, North Carolina Set in the foothills of Linville Gorge, this AWLS® course is being presented by The Appalachian Center for Wilderness Medicine. The conference is being held at Western Piedmont Community College in Morganton with an additional field day in Linville Gorge, with immediate access to outdoor teaching in a wilderness setting. This is a weekend course available for 17.5 hours of CME credits and Wilderness Medical Society FAWM credits. Chico Hot Sprints, Montana - October 10 - 12, 2008 Chico Hot Springs just outside of Yellowstone National Park is the location for this weekend AWLS course available for 17.5 hours of CME credits and Wilderness Medical Society FAWM credits. San Diego, California - November 12 - 15, 2008 Set in beautiful Southern California, this AWLS® course is being presented by the UCSD Family Medicine Program. The conference is being held at Carlton Oaks Country Club with outdoor teaching in nearby Mission Trails Park. This course is available for up to 21.5 hours of CME credits and Wilderness Medical Society FAWM credits.
