- Learn the latest practical hands-on wilderness medical skills for patient
assessment, stabilization and evacuation.
- Practice your skills in live scenarios.
- Work with our expert faculty including, Richard Ingebretsen, MD, PhD
and Lt. Colonel David Della-Giustina, MD.
- Earn your AWLS certification.
- Obtain up to 24.5 hours of CME or Fellowship credits from the
Wilderness Medical Society.*
- The AWLS Program focuses on treatment of the most common injuries and
illnesses encountered making the AWLS certification the standard in the
medical industry for wilderness medicine. The course offers intensive practical skills teaching in addition to workshops that will concentrate on hiking, biking, rafting and climbing injuries. These workshops are designed to further refine your wilderness medicine skills.
- Register for optional workshops and develop the specialized skills to manage medical issues related to mountain biking, rafting, climbing and hiking. The climbing and hiking workshops are no longer open for registration. There may be an opportunity to register at the course if there is an opening.
Or, if you choose you can use your free time to explore the many natural wonders in the Moab area. This course is being held at the Moab Valley Inn.
