This advanced Wilderness Life Support certification conference is offered in the unique Southern California coastal hills near metropolitan San Diego. The Carlton Country Club offers a convenient and unique facility for the group lectures while the 5,800 acre Mission Trails Park is only minutes away. The Park offers over 40 miles of hiking trails, mountain bike trails and rock climbing. The University of California at San Diego Family Medicine program brings you an AWLS conference "to learn the skills to prevent medical problems, reduce suffering and save lives in non-traditional medical settings."

The AWLS Program focuses on treatment of the most common injuries and
illnesses encountered making the AWLS certification the standard in the
medical industry for wilderness medicine. The course offers intensive practical skills teaching in addition to workshops that will concentrate on surfing, kayaking, hiking and climbing injuries. These workshops are designed to further refine your wilderness medicine skills.
The conference is being held at the Carlton Country Club in San Diego with easy access to the outdoors and onsite lodging. The facility is 20 minutes from the beach and other San Diego tourist attractions.
